East Bladen grad Jazmine Kemp recorded 8 points and 8 rebounds Saturday, but her UNC-Pembroke Lady  Braves dropped a 59-50 Peach Belt Conference decision to North  Georgia in Dahlonega, GA.

Kemp canned two jump shots and a free throw in the first half which ended with North Georgia on top 30-24. The 5-10 senior also dished out 4 assists and was credited with one steal.

The Elizabethtown native turned a rebound into a lay-up and a 3-point play that capped an 8-2 UNC-Pembroke run that tied the game 32-32 with 16:56 left to play.

An 8-0  North Georgia run snapped a 42-42 tie midway the half, and the Lady Nighthawks held on for the victory.

UNC-Pembroke will host Clayton State today (Monday) in a 1:30 p.m. game.
