BLADENBORO – Cameron Williams poured in 20 points Wednesday night to lead Lakewood’s Leopards to a 45-39 non-conference jayvee boys basketball victory over West Bladen.
Nakai Owens flipped in 6 of his 9 points in the 1st quarter to spark the Leopards to an early 16-12 lead. Center Alan Breakfield worked the paint for 2 early baskets, and Garrett Dunham and Kelcey Robinson fired in 3-point baskets to keep the Knights close.

Walker Barkley bombed in a 3-ball, and Noah Hall tossed in a bucket for West in the 2nd period, but the Leopards cashed in 6 of 9 free throws to keep a 26-17 halftime lead.
Dunham, Robinson and Hall buried 3-point shots for West Bladen in the 3rd period, but Williams pumped in 2 baskets and a free throw to keep the Leopards up 36-28 at the quarter break.
Williams kept the Leopards on top with 9 points in the final quarter. Dunham sank 2 baskets and a free throw in the period, and Breakfield powered in 2 baskets.
Dunham led the Knights with 11 points, and Breakfield finished with 10 points. Robinson totaled 8 points, and Hall added 5.
The Knights will return to action on December 17th at East Columbus.
