BLADENBORO – Jayden Daniels poured in 31 points Friday to lead South Brunswick to a 53-36 non-conference jayvee boys basketball victory over West Bladen.

Daniels sparked the Cougars to a 19-11 1st quarter lead with 4 baskets, tossed in 6 points in the 2nd period then scored all 14 points during a 14-6 South spurt that opened up a 39-30 lead in the 3rd quarter.

Jamari Adams popped in a pair of baskets and a free throw in the 1st period for the Knights. Damarion Bryant sank a basket and 2 free throws, and Connor Hill added a bucket for West in the quarter.

Bryant keyed a 13-6 Knight rally in the 2nd period with 3 baskets and a free throw. Ayden Williams nailed a 3-point shot, another basket and a free throw as West pulled to within 25-23 at halftime.

Williams drained 2 more 3-point shots in the 2nd half. Bryant swished a 3-point shot and a free throw, and Adams flipped in a basket.

Bryant topped the Knight scoring with 15 points, and Williams followed with 12 points. Adams finished with 7 points.
