LUMBERTON – Lumberton’s jayvees scored a pair of 2nd half goals Tuesday to defeat West Bladen 2-0 in non-conference boys’ soccer action.
Freshman Cristian Rodriguez Gonzalez fired off 2 shots to lead the Knight attack. Sophomore Kevin Rojas-Rojas also had a shot for West.
Freshman Amine Mahdi keyed the Knight defense with 5 steals. Sophomore Gerson Vedugo-Roblero, John Randy Reyes-Garcia and Shandell Gonzalez were credited with 4 steals each. Sophomore Jennsen Santana Martinez, Rojas-Rojas, Carlos Gonzalez Flores and Rodriguez Gonzalez had 3 steals each.
Freshman Noah German had 4 saves in goal for West.
The Knights, now 2-4, are scheduled to host East Bladen Thursday.
