Nae Chestnutt poured in 23 points Friday night to lead Clinton to a 29-16 Four County Conference jayvee girls’ basketball victory over visiting West Bladen.
Mikayla Winebarger and Anna Moser tossed in first quarter baskets as the Lady Knights took an early 4-2 lead, but a 7-2 Lady Dark Horse spurt put Clinton ahead 9-6 at halftime.
Chestnutt led a 15-0 Clinton blitz in the third period that opened up a 24-6 Lady Dark Horse lead.
Sophmore Jerena Purdie fired in 5 of her team-high 7 points for West Bladen in the final quarter. Freshman Elizabeth Allbright scored all 3 of her points in the period as the Lady Knights outscored Clinton 10-5.
Winebarger finished with 4 points for the Lady Knights who travel to Midway Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game.
