LAKE WACCAMAW – East Columbus rode a 10-1 third-period spurt to a 23-11 Three Rivers Conference junior varsity girls basketball victory over West Bladen Tuesday.
East Columbus held a narrow 9-8 lead at halftime, before their decisive run opened up a 19-9 lead.
Sanauwa Campbell tossed in 10 points to lead the Lady Gator scoring. Freshman Hannah Pait fired in 6 points in the first half to keep West Bladen close.
The Lady Knights will travel to Whiteville next Tuesday.
