West Bladen defeated St. Pauls 16-6 Saturday in non-conference jayvee softball action at West Bladen.
Indiyah Williams slammed a double and a single in 2 at-bats to lead the Lady Knight hitters. Sophmore Abby Dawson hammered a double and finished 2-4 at the plate. Teammate Brittany Landreth also batted a perfect 2-2.
Freshman Erica McKoy and sophmore Anna Moser walloped home runs for the Lady Knights. Sarah Allen slammed a double, and Katie Ezzell and Alise Pait belted singles.
McKoy and Landreth combined to pitch a 2-hitter for the Lady Knights. McKoy worked 1.2 innings in the circle and allowed 5 runs on 4 walks, no hits and 4 defensive errors. Landreth pitched 1.1 innings and gave up a run on 2 hits and no walks. It was the first time McKoy and Landreth had pitched in a high school game.
The game was stopped after 3 innings by a time limit.
Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights improved to 5-1 on the season.
