ST PAULS – Gracie Faircloth pitched a no-hitter and slugged a home run to lead West Bladen to an 18-0 victory over St. Pauls Monday in their jayvee softball season opener.

 

Faircloth struck out 5 batters, walked none and hit a batter. At the plate she slugged a home run and batted 3-3 with 3 runs batted in and a walk. Freshman Megan Pait belted a 2-run single, walked twice and scored 2 runs.

 

Olivia Allen beat out a bunt single, walked twice and scored 3 runs. Briley Stanley smacked a run-scoring single and scored a run. Brookee Singletary cracked a single, scored a run and drove in a run. Kaitlyn Brisson walked, was hit by a pitch and scored 3 runs.

 

Violet Allen walked twice, was hit by a pitch and drove in a run. Hannah Richardson walked twice, drove in a run and scored a run. Kylie Duffle walked twice, was hit by a pitch and scored twice. Josie Troublefield scored a run.

 

The Lady Knights scored 3 runs in the 1st inning, 6 runs in the 2nd, 8 runs in the 3rd and a single run in the 4th.

 

Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights will host East Columbus Thursday at 4 p.m.
