ELIZABETHTOWN – Pender defeated East Bladen 2-0 Tuesday in Four County Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-18 and 25-17.
Adreinne Howell led the Lady Eagles with 8 service points, and teammate Faith Johnson fired in an ace and 7 service points. Abigail Cross knocked in 2 aces and 6 service points.
Izzy Smith smacked in 5 service points and a kill, and Gracyn Martin rang up 5 service points for East. Freshman Lorna Mendell belted in 3 kills and a block.
Ruth Ward posted 3 service points for the Lady Eagles, and Cybil Campbell added a kill and a service point.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Heide Trask Thursday at 4:30.
