RED SPRINGS- West Bladen swept Red Springs 2-0 Tuesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-19 and 25-20.
Kierra Lewis fired in 8 service points that included 2 aces and totaled 5 kills to lead the winners. Freshman Natalee Sykes checked all the scoring boxes with 5 aces, 2 other service points, 3 kills and 1 assist. Freshman Jaylyn Clark hammered in 3 kills and 3 service points.
Sophomore Marlie Walters knocked in 4 service points and a kill for West Bladen. Freshman Brenna Hester rang up 3 service points and had 1 dig. Freshman Jahyra Priest belted in 2 kills and had 1 assist.
Freshman Kali Allen slammed in an ace and had 1 assist for the Lady Knights. Emme Bryant had 1 dig, and Tah’lia Bethea pounded in a kill.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights raised their record to 8-2 in the SAC-7 and 11-6 overall. West Bladen will host St. Pauls Thursday.
