Bladen County’s pro golfer Kayla Thompson placed in the money this week in the Oscar Williams Classic in Anna, Texas.
Thompson shot rounds of 74-72-76-75=297 to win $400 in prize money. She finished tied for 44th.
The tournament was won by Megan Osland of Kelowna, British Colombia, who shot 70-69-69-70=278. Her winning efforts netted her $10,000.
Thompson’ s next tournament will be the Texarkana Children’s Charities Open at Northridge Country Club in Texarkana, Texas, July 12-15.
Thompson lives in Clarkton and graduated from West Bladen High School.
