WILMINGTON – White Lake native Lacey Suggs scored 14 points Sunday afternoon as UNC-Wilmington rolled to a 74-50 Colonial Athletic Association victory over College of Charleston.

Suggs drove to the basket for a trio of lay-ups, sank 2 free throws and delivered an assist during a 20-8 opening run by the Lady Seahawks. The East Bladen grad drained a 3-point shot to begin the second half that stretched the lead to 42-19 then dropped in another lay-up and a free throw as the lead grew to 51-21.

The senior guard finished with 4 rebounds and 4 steals as she moved into 17th place on the Lady Seahawk career-scoring list with 984 points. It was Suggs’ 17th double-figure scoring game of the season.

UNC-Wilmington will host Northeastern University Friday at 7 p.m.
