LOS ANGELES, Ca. – Elizabethtown native Larrell Murchison will begin his 4th season in the National Football League Sunday when his Los Angeles Rams travel to Seattle for their season opener at 4:25 (EDT).

Murchison was a late-season addition to the Rams last year after playing 3 years with the Tennessee Titans. In his 1st 3 games with Los Angeles, Murchison racked up 6 total tackles, 2 sacks and 2 quarterback hits. Based on the promise he showed last season the Rams are looking for big things from him this season as 2 of their defensive linemen – A’Shawn Robinson and Greg Gaines – left in the off-season via free agency.

The N.C. State grad is one of 7 defensive linemen who made the Rams’ initial 53-man roster for this season. He is currently listed as a back-up to 8-year veteran Aaron Donald at defensive tackle on therams.com first unofficial depth chart for the season opener.
