Good-bye July, hello August. Are you enjoying fond memories of your summer vacation? Did you go somewhere sunny? Did you rest and relax on a stay-cation? Did you get a tan? I didn’t get a tan, I got a new granddaughter. Vacation or stay-cation, either way July is usually a great month, even when the heat is on. Whew … I’m glad we made it through the July heat wave. I expect August will have it’s own.
As you know, the hard working people at the Bladen County Health Department go out every month to inspect the places that serve food to the public, to check for sanitary and healthful conditions. The list of inspections performed in July may be short due to vacation time but you might notice that the eateries that were inspected last month are the kinds of places people go when its hot outside and they don’t want to cook. And just look at the high scores they received.
