For 26 years when something needed done in Clarkton, residents could rely on Junior Hardison (pictured above, right).
Whether grass had to be cut, assisting with stringing the town Christmas tree or any number of things that needed to be fixed, the maintenance department leader was the person to turn toward.
Friday, Hardison is working his final shift for the Town of Clarkton. He officially retires Sunday, Dec. 31.
On Dec. 22, town officials gathered at Town Hall to show their appreciaton for Hardison’s years of service and present him with a plaque. Pictured above, from left, are Commissioner Jerome Myers, Mayor Tim Tart, Junior Hardison, Commissioner Linda Croom and Commissioner Stephen Hester.
