thoughts while shavingBladen County Solid Waste hours of operation during New Year’s holiday … All convenience sites will be operating on their normal schedule, 7 AM to 7 PM. … However, the Transfer Station will be closed in observance of the holiday. Normal operations resume Tuesday, January 2nd.

Senior citizens recently received 2024 info related to future payments of Social Security … Small increase, minus taxes … Not much change … no complaints…

A trip to both grannies was a sure thing years ago … and the cookie jar was always full of homemade goodies…

Bladen County school students return to school next week…

Winter weather has returned … Sunny today with a high near 56 and windy, gusts as high as 20 mph. Clear skies tonight, low near 33. Saturday, sunny with a high near 51 and windy. Checking Sunday’s forecast (church day) sunny with a high near 56.

Next best chance for more rain, Wednesday night and Thursday … 30% to 40% range is in the forecast.
