** A sign exception was granted to Pawn South because of the design and footprint of the building wouldn’t allow the company from adhering to the town ordinance.

** Tabled a decision about repairs needed to the Bladenboro fire station annex on N.C. 131. Hester told the board that repairing the back section, wall and roof would cost between $25,000 and $33,000, while an estimate to remove the back portion and replace with an insulated metal or steel structure would cost $39,500. The town is required to have a fire station annex because of the railroad tracks that run through downtown.
