Bladen County has many women to celebrate for Women’s History Month. According to the Women’s National History Museum, every year March is designated Women’s History Month by Presidential proclamation. The month is set aside to honor women’s contributions in American history.

This Sunday, March 8th is not only Daylights Savings Time, but it is International Women’s Day as well. To help celebrate the proclamation locally, below are some photos from The Southeastern Times featuring the women who have made a difference in our area.
