TAR HEEL – Tar Heel pulled away with a trio of 2nd half goals and defeated Elizabethtown 4-0 Tuesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer action.

Enrique Rodriguez staked the Panthers to a 1-0 lead with a goal midway the 1st half. The score remained 1-0 at halftime, but Tar Heel’s Amine Mahdi banged in a goal 5 minutes into the 2nd half.

Minutes later Kevin Sebastian knocked in a Panther goal off of a feed from Alejandro Lopez that padded the lead to 3-0. Lopez closed out the scoring with the final goal of the game. Dylan Hernandez recorded his 3rd consecutive shutout in goal for the Panthers and was credited with 1 save.

Coach Brett Jackson’s Panthers improved to 3-0 and will host East Columbus at 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Elizabethtown will travel to West Columbus Thursday at 3:45 p.m.
