CERRO GORDO– Bladenboro defeated West Columbus 4-1 on Thursday in the Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ soccer opener for both schools.

Brookee Singletary fired in a goal off of an assist from Holland Davis, then Singletary sent a pass to Alissa Pusey who knocked in the goal that gave Bladenboro a 2-1 halftime lead.

Kallie Bass and Montserrat Castro scored unassisted goals in the second half that grew the Lady Bulldog lead to 4-1.

Aiden Dove recorded one save in goal for the Lady Bulldogs in the first half, and Amene Smith made one save in goal for Bladenboro in the second half

Coach Kristen Parker’s Lady Bulldogs will host Williams Township on Wednesday in a 4 p.m. game at Bladen County Park.
