TABOR CITY – Clarkton School of Discovery bounced back to take a 15-9 victory over Bladenboro in the deciding set of Wednesday’s Waccamaw Middle School Conference volleyball match and posted their 1st victory of the season.
Coach Elizabeth Priest’s Lady Blue Devils outlasted Bladenboro 25-21 in the 1st set, but the Lady Bulldogs battled back to even the match 1-1 with a 25-22 victory in the 2nd set.
Clarkton was defeated 2-0 in their 1st match of the day by Nakina. Bladenboro lost the opening set of their match with Tabor City 25-19 then dropped a marathon 2nd set 30-28.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Williams Township Thursday, while Clarkton will visit Tabor City again.
