The North Carolina Department of Transportation has issued an updated listing of road openings and closings in Bladen County.
OPENINGS:
Bladen Union Church Road
Bladen Union Church Road will open today (April 19th) at 5:00 p.m.
CLOSINGS:
Center Road
Center Road is closed with a posted detour in both directions. Road is closed for bridge construction and miscellaneous roadway work. Is expected to be closed until July 3, 2018.
Mercer Mill
Mercer Mill closed on Monday, February 26th, to replace Bridge 32. It is expected to remain closed for 120 days. It is located just North of the Rosindale Road intersection. It is currently posed at 5 tons.
Elkton Road
Elkton Road will be closed for approximately two weeks starting April 9 – April 20 to replace a large diameter pipe.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
Susie Sand Hill
Susie Sand Hill will close on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. It will be closed to thru traffic.
ELWELL FERRY:
Is closed due to high water.
