Thoughts While ShavingI would love to be in the bread baking business now, well for a few days.  Nearly impossible to find a loaf of fresh or stale bread, shelves are clean.  It should not be long before we will have a choice, again…

Can’t stand to not check out the landscape at least once a day.  On my most recent tour, mostly returning to normal, slowly but surely. Most of the stoplights in Elizabethtown were working, a couple of notable exceptions.  Retail outlets, including fast food and convenience stores were operating, and most appeared to be busy.

For those still without electricity, patience is wearing thin, understand, but hold on, help is on the way.

Checking Four County EMC outage map early this AM, 1,613 customers were still affected, or 14.95% of their nearly 11,000 members just  in Bladen County.

Duke Power serves nearly 9,000 in Bladen County and they still have 1,051 affected on their most current map, that includes 86 outage locations, as of early, early Wednesday morning.

Both utility company have companies from across the nation assisting, thank them when you see them, the locals and those from afar…Pretty neat that some locals are providing food to many volunteers.

President Trump will be touring North and South Carolina today, suppose to be in the Wilmington and Conway areas, according to yesterday info.

And, how about Michael Jordan making a $2 million dollar contribution to support recovery efforts in his hometown of Wilmington, one million to Red Cross and another to a local response fund?  Speaks volumes about the individual.
