CHAPEL HILL- East Bladen Coach and Athletic Director Patty Evers has been recognized as this month’s Women’s Leadership Spotlight presented by Blue Cross of North Carolina in conjunction with the NCHSAA. The recognition is presented monthly during the school year.
Coach Evers led her Lady Eagles to the NCHSAA Class 1A Girls Basketball Eastern Regional Championship game. Along the way East Bladen won games on the home court of No. 5 seed Chatham Charter, No. 4 Vance Charter and No. 1 Falls Lake Academy before falling to No. 3 seed East Columbus in the Eastern finals. The Lady Eagles finished with a 25-5 record, and during the season Evers recorded her 600th coaching victory.
