The National Weather Service of Wilmington, NC announced today there are expectations of increasing swells from Hurricane Fiona leading to strong rip currents and large breakers in the surf late Wednesday through the end of the week. Otherwise, Fiona is expected to stay well offshore with no other direct impacts (e.g. rainfall) over the Carolinas.
