East Bladen senior Rodney Lacewell has been named to the East roster for the 2023 East-West All-Star football game.
Lacewell, at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, is a 2-way performer for Coach Robby Priest’s Eagles, playing on both the offensive and defensive lines. He is expected to play on the offensive line for the East team.
Lacewell has helped clear the way for an Eagle ground attack that has rushed for 1,387 yards and 16 touchdowns and racked up 1,805 total yards and 23 offensive touchdowns in five games this season.
“First time I have had a player in the East-West game,” said Eagle Coach Robby Priest. “But one in the Shrine Bowl and one in the East-West game (in the same year) is pretty cool.”
Lacewell’s teammate Masion Brooks was named to the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team last week.
