Mark your calendars and be ready for over 1200 cyclist to visit Elizabethtown this Friday, October 5th! Elizabethtown was chosen as a host town for this year’s ride from the mountains to the sea. The riders will be ready to dine in our restaurants and shop our merchant’s stores after their arrival!
Downtown merchants may want to consider extending their hours that day. Our restaurants are encouraged to have a few good specials to entice the riders to their doors.
This is a big event for the Chamber to organize and volunteers are needed! Let me know if you can help this Friday, October 5th.
The main area for this event will be located behind Town Hall. We will block King Street between Town Hall and Leinwand Park. Folks will sleep in hundreds of tents all over the grounds at the park with indoor camping inside the Co. Parks & Recreation Building. We will use the PAC building at the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church for their catered meals. All others will be staying in our local accommodations and eating in all of our restaurants. BE READY!
