GREENSBORO – Sayaun Dent connected on all 3 of his shots from the field and scored 7 points as his East team rallied in the second half to defeat the West 117-108 in the 69th Annual East-West High School All-Star Game.
Dent drained a 3-point shot and added another basket in the first half to help keep the East within 60-53 at intermission. The East outscored the West 64-48 in the second half to claim the victory.
Whiteville’s Tyrell Kirk was named the Most Valuable Player after scoring 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting and grabbing 8 rebounds for the East. Clinton’s Jeremiah Pope tallied 9 points for the East but only connected on 4 of 14 shots from the field.
