On Thursday, April 20th, The Grand Regal at Goldston’s Beach hosted an Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce meeting. This event showcased all the new renovations and changes that have taken place since Goldston’s hosted the chamber meeting two years ago. There was food and live music; Daren Wheeless was the musician playing for everyone while people ate and talked.

Jake Womble with The Grand Regal at Goldston’s Beach greeted everyone and summarized what everyone would see on tour. Attendees viewed the Charlie Daniel’s Gallery, The Venue, the Arcade, and Lake Shop, which have all been remodeled. There is also a new shop that was added to Goldston’s called “Amy’s By the Lake.”

After eating, the members started the tour by going into the arcade. Womble stated that many games have been taken out and replaced to give that “Dave and Busters feel and idea.” Womble also indicated there are food concessions as well as the Dairy Queen. He said, “Instead of just eating Dairy Queen, you can also swing by the arcade to get things such as pizza and nachos.”

The Charlie Daniel’s Gallery and gift shop is at the back of the Glass Bottom Bar. The gallery is not officially opened until after May 13th. There are many different things to see in the gallery, such as famous fiddles, furniture, and albums. There’s something unique in every nook.

The group proceeded to go into The Venue. A setting that typically hosts formal events such as proms, weddings, family reunions, etc., has been revived to look more sleek and modern, with a bridal suite now installed. Jenna Hilton with The Venue stated, “This venue is my pride and joy, I’ve put my all into this place for the last two years, and I finally think it looks perfect.”

After everyone left The Venue, a trolley ride was offered to the members for a look at the new condos, cabins, and tiny houses for rent. Some cottages can sleep up to 18 people, while the tiny homes can sleep up to 8 in close living quarters. The hotel rooms have also been revamped to look sleeker, and most rooms can sleep up to 4 people.

Finally, the tour ended with looking at the newly rebranded Lake Shop, with all the latest products. They have name-brand items in the lake shop now. Find all these things and more at White Lake this summer. The Grand Regal at Goldston’s Beach is located at 1879 White Lake Drive, White Lake.
