Junior Lacey Suggs fired a 3-hitter and struck out 10 to lead East Bladen to a 12-1 Four County Conference victory at Clinton Friday night. Suggs only issued 2 walks.
Catcher Lexi Dawson blasted a double, a triple and a single, stole 2 bases and drove in a run to lead the Lady Eagle hitters. Suggs smashed a double and 2 singles, stole 2 bases and drove in a run.
Junior Miller Heustess knocked in 2 runs with a pair of singles and stole a base. Senior Anna Brewer belted 2 singles, swiped 2 bases and drove in a run.
Sophomore Emily Scott walloped a triple, and junior Abby Ward, senior Abbey Norris and freshmen Kaley Smith and Faith Johnson connected for one single each.
“Everyone got a base hit,” said East Bladen Coach Patty Evers.
The Lady Eagles improved to 8-1 in Four County play and 12-2 overall.
