 A 16-run, fourth-inning capped a 25-1 West Bladen non-conference softball victory over visiting St. Pauls Saturday.
 
The Lady Knights sent 22 batters to the plate in the fourth and capitalized on 8 hits, 4 St. Pauls errors, 4 hit batters and 3 walks to score the 16 runs.
 
Juniors Alanna Ludlum and Laikyn Pait ignited the rally with singles; junior Sophia Singletary walked, and junior Jenna Dove cracked a run-scoring single. Junior Kathryn Schultz reached base on an error, and one out later, junior Kassidy Anderson belted a single.
 
Junior Logan Autry, freshman Carley Dawson and Pait smacked run-scoring singles; Singletary walked and Dove was hit by pitch. After Schultz reached on an error, freshman Conner Brisson pounded a 2-run double over the leftfielder’s head.
 
Anderson walked, and Autry drove in a run with a hit. Sophmore Abby Dawson was hit by a pitch, and Ludlum reached base on an error. Sophmore Patience Parker was hit by a pitch, and sophmore Maegan Brady smacked a run-scoring single.
 
Pait batted 4-4 with a double, 4 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. Autry finished 3-5 at the plate with 4 runs scored and 3 rbi’s. Carley Dawson was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 3 rbi’s.
 
Ludlum batted 2-5 with 2 runs scored. Brisson smashed the 2-run double and scored a run. Schultz and Dove added one hit each. Dove scored 4 runs and drove one in. Anderson scored three runs. Schultz, Alise Pait, Parker, Abby Dawson and Brady scored one run each.
 
Singletary pitched 5 innings to pick up the win, allowing an unearned run on 2 hits, 2 walks and a hit batter while striking out two.
 
West Bladen scored 5 runs in the first inning. Anderson was hit by a pitch, and Autry followed with a single. Ludlum swatted a single, and Laikyn Pait slammed a run-scoring double. Dove and Brisson sandwiched walks around a Schultz single.
 
The Lady Knights added 4 runs in the second inning to stretch their lead to 9-1. Autry led off with a single, and Carley Dawson drove her in with a single. One out later Laikyn Pait drove in Dawson with a single. Dove drew a 2-out walk, and both Pait and Dove scored on passed balls.
 
Coach Joey Autry’s Lady Knights improved to 6-7 overall with the victory and will host Union Tuesday at 6 p.m.
