ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen’s golf team – Connor Britt, Jake Lewis, Chase Knight and Bailey Williams – and West Bladen individual golfers Isaac Mendoza and Trenton Meares have all qualified for the Class 2A Mid East Men’s Golf Regional.

The Eagles finished 4th in Monday’s SAC-7 Championship Tournament at Vineyard Golf at White Lake, but their season scoring average (382.5) was still 3rd best in the conference and qualified them to advance to regional play along with SAC-7 champion Midway and Clinton.

Meares fired an 83 Monday to tie Clinton’s Finn Howard for 8th place, and Mendoza carded an 86 to finish 10th and win the regional slot.

Midway’s Logan Atkins, the SAC-7 Player of the Year, captured medalist honors with a 67 Monday. The Raiders won the SAC-7 Tournament with a team score of 296. Clinton was second with a 313 total.

West Bladen finished 3rd Monday with a 356 team score. Other individual scores for the Knights besides Meares and Mendoza included: Daniel Gustafson (93), Elijah Crabtree (94) and Chase Gordon (104).

East Bladen placed 4th Monday with a 362 total. Individual scores for the Eagles were: Britt (87),  Williams (91), Knight (92) and Lewis (92).

The Class 2A MidEast Regional will be played Monday, May 2nd at The River Golf Club at Lake Royale in Louisburg.
