The Spring Fling scheduled Saturday, April 8 at Jones Lake State Park has been canceled because of the threat of inclement weather.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 70% percent chance of rain beginning Friday, April 7 and a 90% chance of rain Saturday, April 8.
The event is sponsored by Friends of the Bay Lakes. The annual event includes egg hunts, music, games, prizes and more, but it will have to wait until next year.
Jones Lake State Park is located at 4117 NC 242 North, Elizabethtown.
