An expansion is in the works for the Oyster Shell Ridge subdivision off of Owen Hill Road near Elizabethtown.

Christian Campbell said the project is being undertaken by the Hilton-DeVane Company. Campbell, who is the project manager, said the expansion will be the third phase of the subdivision. She said plans call for the construction of homes, which will range in size from 1,600 to 2,000 square feet on lots that range in size from 0.60 acres to 1 acre in size. The homes are expected to range in price from $200,000 to $300,000 when completed.

Campbell said the Oyster Shell Ridge subdivision features paved roads, a pond in the neighborhood, and is in a quiet country setting with easy access to Elizabethtown, Dublin and Fayetteville.

“There have been two phases (of the development) built and this will be phase three,” said Campbell.

She said the Hilton-DeVane Company has been working with Bladen County Planning Director, Greg Elkins, on the expansion. The plans for the expansion to the subdivision were presented to the Bladen County Planning Board on Tuesday evening where it was approved. Campbell said the subdivision has also received conditional approval for the septic tank permits.
