Tar Heel Middle School celebrated their first Homecoming in their new buildings Thursday before a packed house, standing room only. The Panthers were entertaining county rival Elizabethtown.

Jordan King was named the Homecoming King and Serenity Council was selected Homecoming Queen. The king and queen candidates had to meet certain academic and attendance requirements and the selection process was concluded by a vote of the student body.

King was crowned by last year’s King Alejandro Lopez Sandoval and Council was crowned by last year’s Queen Alajah Parker.

Other Queen candidates were: Ashley Solis-Sandoval, Roslyn Sanchez-Trejo, Arianna McKiver, Madison Robey and Oasis Dela Cruz-Labra.

Other King candidates included: Dylan McLaurin, Nazir Campbell, Jason Dowless, Reuben McDaniel and Sebastian Ortega-Jaime.
