1994 – Canadian Open Women’s Golf (du Maurier Classic), Ottawa Hunt CC: Martha Nause wins by 1 from Michelle McGann.

2004 – The US women’s basketball team goes through the Athens Olympics undefeated to win its 5th Olympic Gold medal, beating Australia 74-63 in the final.
