Santa Claus is coming to town and soon and if you don’t believe in Santa, you may receive a small box or bag of peppermint candy, at best. The really nice gifts go to those who have been nice, and Santa seems to always know who they are.

As Christmas draws near, hope we will all reach out to someone who is strugglin’. We all know that life can be difficult and while we may be hustlin’ and bustlin’ around to do the last minute shopping and preparing a feast for love ones, remember there are less fortunate close by, and a ‘helping hand’ can make a huge difference. I would venture a guess that there is someone, individual or family, probably several, less than a mile away with real needs. Maybe they are not as good managers of their resources as you/we are, may not be any resources, may be due to no fault of their own, may be someone who needs a kind word, someone suffering from depression, someone just down on their luck, a family or individual suffering from a medical issue. Whatever the cause, could help make your Christmas the best ever, if you reach out to someone in need.
Today, many churches will be featuring a Cantata….local musicians with a good message that helps us celebrate the birth of a child, baby Jesus. Take your pick….enjoy.
The best Christmas gift of all is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up with one another.
Keeping Christmas is good, but sharing it with others is even better.
Whatever else you give to your children, give them roots and give them wings.
