Thoughts While ShavingBladen We Care’s Annual Gala is set for this evening at The Venue at White Lake. Ticket sales have been very good, but if you failed to make a purchase, a limited number of tickets will be available at the door. They are $100 per couple. Food, music, a reverse raffle, an auction and lots of good fellowship and all for a good cause. A golf tournament is planned for April 21. Proceeds benefit our neighbors and friends who are falling throw the cracks in our healthcare system.

So many good events upcoming soon in the area, and BladenOnline has most, if not all. Be sure to check all our pages, Sports, Lifestyle, Ag page, Events, Classifieds, Obits, Church Events page, Regional news, Opinion, Politics and of course our Guestbook. All are updated on a regular basis, new items added daily. If you just check the news page, maybe the sports page, you are missing lots of news. Check it out.

Received a call recently from one of our good pastors sharing info about the Sheriff’s program related to the safety of churches in the area. Rev. Warren Hill wanted everyone to know the program is very good. Law enforcement officers provide helpful info on how churches can be made safer. Hard to believe some weak minds would do harm to our houses of worship. Trust me, they will. Call the Sheriff’s office for more info.

One of the latest scams is folks pretending to be selling tickets for fund-raisers in the area when there is no such event planned. A little time in the slammer is needed for those who commit such acts of fraud. When in doubt, call the church mentioned or the Sheriff’s Department.

Today, we feature the 1977 Dublin T-Ball Green team members:
