Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingChristmas parties with friends is a fun time.  Many times we share time with close friends and family, maybe neighbors, but other times we have the opportunity to share with friends we seldom see except in a work environment.  Last night was a special night with special friends that we seldom get to share fun time with.

Been watching and listening as our new president-elect selects his team prior to taking office.  Must be some project.  One stuck out with me.  Linda McMahon has been named to head the Small Business Administration.  She is a co-founder and former CEO of the professional wrestling franchise WWE.  I discovered President-elect Trump is a WWE Hall of Fame member, that’s what the new release stated.  Causes me concern, if someone fails to abide by SBA rules, one penalty may be a head-butt with the President of the USA, administered by Mrs. McMahon.  Guess both were be on the same tag-team in the past and may be in the future.  Play for Pay???

Having retired and withdrawn from the mainstream, I am beginning to think I could be a hermit.  Some of my traits: stubborn, less opinionated, less attracted to large crowds, (except family and close friends), I offer no advice unless requested and then sparingly (usually not ask for good reasons), love to travel roadways and paths less traveled and on my time.

I will share with you what a former Bladen County friend shared with me.

Jack (age 3) was watching his mom breast-feeding his new baby sister….After a while he asked: ‘Mom why have you got two?  Is one hot and one for cold milk?’

Melanie (age 5) asked her granny how old she was.  Granny replied she was so old she didn’t remember any more.  Melanie said ‘if you don’t remember you must look in the back of your panties.  Mine says five to six.’

One more…..On this particular Sunday sermon….’Dear Lord,’ The minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a Rapturous look on his upturned face.  ‘Without you, we are but dust…..’  He would continue but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice, ‘Mom, what is butt dust?”
