I recently added POLITICO Playbook to my daily reading. I added after the source was referred to almost daily by one or more national news sources. It’s free and supposedly gives a little more background info related to the daily turmoil, especially in DC, and around the world, as if more was needed. Not sure if it’s right or left leaning….I trust little of what I read or hear, just added another source to further confuse.
Think I am most concerned about the North Korean situation. Two interesting leaders, duking it out on the world stage. One slip by either could be a ‘knock-out punch’ that would be devastating for millions of us human beings.
If we get new Tax Reform, and business tax is reduced to 15 to 20%, the budget continues to increase, who pays the difference?
Be careful what you ask for! Have heard politicians say, we can’t spend ourselves out of debt, regardless of what we are told.
For years the R’s raised ‘holy cane’ about the national debt and D’s continue to add to the bottom line. Now, the R’s have decided it is no longer a top issue and expect the D’s to respond likewise. Fodder for the next national election.
Wish Congress, R’s and D’s would do a better job of working together and one party is just as guilty as the other….
Our leaders want to pass a new healthcare plan that few know little about. I know, it was rammed through Congress during the previous administration. The new proposal is to send it to the states to work it out…..In my humble opinion, the last thing we need is something else for another layer of government to duel over. Line up the attorneys and let’s go to court, again.
And, now, all are consumed with the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem controversy, and it is very important. God Help Us!
Could we just return to the days when Dick Tracy and Dagwood & Blondie comics was a part of our preferred reading.
Unity is strength…. when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.
The best teamwork comes from men (and women) who are working independently toward one goal in unison. James Cash Penney
I invite everyone to chose forgiveness rather than division, teamwork over personal ambition. Jean-Francois CopeShare:
