Zane Singletary was elected chairman of the Bladen County Democratic Party….Youngest chair I recall for either party…He has been active in the area, particularly in the various levels of the Beta Club and at Campbell U. We wish him the best…
Garrett Smith….folks at Windsor UMC turn out in large numbers to raise money for a young man facing some medical issues….
James Thompson….Many lost a good friend…He died yesterday…been sick for a long time…Will miss his smile and his assistance when our vehicles need attention…
I encourage you to check our Events section daily…several times a day….Not sure I have ever seen as many events in the area…Next week begins with a full slate….check it out….
Think it would be good to slow the pace for a while as in yesteryear…but our current younger generation knows little about our past, like the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s ….There yesteryear will be the early 2000’s…Understandable…and that is OK…
I will be on the road for a few days…to DC, a totally different world….The best part about the trip is coming home…
