Thoughts While ShavingRemember when a handshake was a contract?

When life gives you a lemon, know how to make lemonade?

Hear folks talk about shopping at home, just wonder if they really do.

I think often about folks who, due to an accident, or a health problem or some other reason, go through life-changing situations.  I am thankful that, up to this point, I have not experienced anything like that.  Think we take our good life for granted?

When I think about voting for president, I think about who I want to make a serious, life-changing decision.  Common sense is more important to me than many of the topics I hear being discussed.  Who has their ‘thumb’ on the bomb?

My children and grandchildren are grown, but I still enjoy seeing youngsters and their parents get excited about them playing sports, painting, doing good deeds, making good grades, etc.

I enjoy The Collingsworth Family’s song, “God Sees the Storm from the Other Side.”

Our 1977 sports team is the Dublin T-Ball Yellow Team, courtesy of the Southeastern Times.  Team members included:

Michael Butler, Sidney McKeithan, Corey Smith, Gene Collins, Corey King, Michael Pait, Pam Coltrane, Ralph Hemingway, Jeff Smith, Sheldon Butler, Marty Davis, April Barnes, Joey Brisson, Robert Brisson, Cynthia Dove and Wayne Hearse.  The coach was Gordon Hester.

Enthusiasm can be like a fire that needs an occasional poke with a stick.

Don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you.

When you take things for granted, the things you are granted, get taken.  (Phil Hennessy)
