We received about 3/4 of an inch of rain Friday afternoon … and nearly 2 tenths of an inch between 4 and 4:30 a.m. (Saturday)

Normally, this time of year, back to school commercials would be going strong … Folks seem to have more cash to spend, and do it year-round…
So sad to think about another ’bout with Coronvirus … but it’s here. So what now? A reminder, it’s a killer. I may die, but not for failing to receive a shot … They are available at the Bladen County Health Department and they are FREE.
Local hospitals are overflowing, so I am told … Bladen County has 279 new cases from July 24 to Friday, August 6 … (Yesterday) … As of noon time Friday, 4,506 new cases, statewide … 1,715 currently hospitalized in the state, total deaths 13,736 … 62% of North Carolina adults have received at least one dose of medication and 58% of adults in the state are fully vaccinated … Info courtesy of NC Department of Health and Human Services…
High school football practice is underway … both Bladen County high schools reporting good turnout…
Keep checking Tennessee Titans website for updates on Bladen’s Larrell Murchison … He continues to work hard … hopeful of lots of playing time on the defensive line.
