Most recent lottery results … A billion $ winner of PowerBall is (was) a downtown LA store owner in California … 36 others won over $1 million … none in North Carolina, that I am aware of … None at this address … MegaMillions still boasting a $1 billion jackpot … next drawing is tonight…

I enjoy following PGA’s William McGirt, a Fairmont, N.C. high school grad … now lives with his family in South Carolina … Won over $10 million in his career, but has suffered physical ailments for several years … Picked up $24,880 in the recent John Deere Classic … On the cut-line at this week’s Barbasol classic being played in Nicholasville, Kentucky … needs a good round today to continue this week’s play … Years ago he won the Jack Nicklaus event in Ohio…

So, what are your plans for the weekend? I will attend a retirement party today for a long-time friend … if all goes as planned … more later…

Some, maybe all, local restaurants are having a great season … waiting time seems to have lengthened … It is summertime, many new faces … hopefully vacationers … to the area … some family … from other parts of the US…
