Clarkton’s Kayla Thompson shot 75-73=148 this week to miss the cut by one stroke in the Genesis of Conway Central Arkansas Open played at Centennial Valley Golf Course in Conway, Arkansas.
Thompson shot 37-38=75 on Wednesday and 35-38=73 on Thursday to go four over par for 36 holes in the Women’s All Pro Tour event. The cut was plus-3, leaving Thompson one stroke short of being able to play the final two rounds.
Thompson graduated from West Bladen High School and UNC Wilmington.
Allison Muirhead from Scotland leads at 5-under 136 heading into Friday’s final round. South Korea’s Bi Shin and Camila Serrano from Bogota, Colombia are one shot back.
Leslie Cloots from Raleigh is at 3-under 141, High Point’s Cecily Overbey is at 2-over 146.
