Thoughts While Shaving for June 5

The chance of rain over the next week is in the 30% to 70% range daily, with the best chance Friday. Several days the forecast is from a quarter to a half inch. The shower last week was good, but much more is needed.

The Bladen County Committee of 100 will hold their annual meeting Thursday evening at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery. Speaker will be Ernie Pierson, an attorney with expertise in the EDC field. Not sure if tickets are still available, call the Bladen County EDC office for more info. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. The Bladen County Committee of 100 has been a long time supporter of economic development efforts in the county.

Upcoming dates worth noting: Father’s Day – Sunday, June 16 and summer officially arrives Friday, June 21.

Sunset Jams … “Alive after Five” concerts begin Thursday, June 20 at Goldston’s at White Lake and features Pizazz Band. The concerts are sponsored by Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Southeastern Health. Great fun and it’s all FREE.
