Officially, spring arrives March 19, but what a wonderful time of the year … Spring sports are underway … high schools and lower grades … softball, baseball, soccer, tennis, track, golf … what have I missed? Fishin’ for grown-ups, I suppose.

Duke slipped to 11th … So many familiar names, players and coaches leading national teams … Kelvin Sampson of Robeson County is the coach of Houston … Rick Barnes, NC native, is the Tennessee coach … and no doubt more Tar Heel ties as the playoffs begin shortly.
I kinda wish our politicians would stop ‘slamming’ each other and fix the border situation in the lower US … If it’s fixable … Maybe a bi-partisan solution rather than continue pointing fingers … Both parties have had opportunities … True confession … If I were in South America, I would be making every effort possible to cross over into the US…
