Statewide, high school football playoffs continue tonight (Friday). In the 1A playoffs … East Bladen at Northside-Pinetown, 7 p.m.

Saturday, Elizabethtown area residents celebrate the 250th anniversary of the town … Numerous activities … for all the family…

Star Telephone’s annual meeting of members is set for Saturday, 10 a.m. at Clinton’s Civic Center … All members are hopefully planning to attend … Updates on company business, entertainment, door prizes, & the elections of three board members, on the agenda.

Area churches ‘Homecomings’ continue … All are welcomed … Practice for Christmas Cantatas underway…

High temp locally, in the low 80s and windy. I gathered leaves yesterday and more on the ground this morning.

Today, mostly sunny, with a high near 75 with wind gusts as high as 18 mph. Cloudy, tonight, with a low around 49…

Saturday, (Veterans Day) a 30% chance of rain … after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. Northeast wind, gusting as high as 15 mph. Saturday night … Chance of rain increases to 40%. Mostly cloudy, and windy … low around 46.

Sunday (Church Day) rain likely, mainly before 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 54 … and a 60% chance of precipitation…

Temp range for early next week … Highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s and low 40s…

We sure could use some rain … been a month or more since showers in early October…

Clarkton area local Woodmen of the World board members met last night, great meal and checks were presented to a couple of area ‘do good’ groups,’ to support their ‘service to others’ efforts in the area … pics and details coming soon, if all goes as planned.

And, all graduates of Clarkton High School are planning a reunion for Saturday (tomorrow) … just a reminder…
