I reached the point in my life where the road ahead is much, much shorter than the one already traveled … and from time to time, my mind drifts back to a particular time … a place, maybe an individual who made a difference in my life, maybe an event … those special times, people and places that made a lasting impression on me, that helped ‘mold me’, good or bad … Sometimes I lean back, prop my feet up and am amazed how quickly time has passed … Ever do that?
Some good memories, some not so good … Guess I am a dreamer…
Always wanted to be a radio announcer … maybe own a radio station … Never dreamed that could/would happen … When I reached that point, with help of my banker at the time … I learned a very important lesson, be careful what you ask for, it may happen … good experience, and thankfully, I survived…
As I approach another birthday … not today or tomorrow but a few weeks away, I think of my classmates at Bladenboro High School, some appear to be enjoying life, good health, life has been good … Others, not as fortunate … and some in between … many deceased … The Class of ’56 had its dreams…
As I continue to look ahead … I am blessed … I am not writing my obit … enjoy good health for a senior citizen, have a good family, good friends and great memories…
Sorry, never dreamed of pouring my heart out … just my Thoughts (today) While Shaving…
“Things end but memories last forever…”
“A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever.”
“Life brings tears, smiles and memories.”
