Thoughts While Shaving for September 6

Hope your Labor Day holiday has been good so far … a little time off as we transition from summer to fall…

Good news yesterday for friends of Larrell Murchison … the Tennessee Titans reduced their numbers yesterday, and Mr. Murchison made the cut, as expected. The rookie defensive lineman from Elizabethtown continues to prepare for his first year as a NFL professional.

Sunday, a day of worship … in person, or online … no shortage of services…

Can’t complain about the weather, yesterday. Today should be near perfect, as well…

Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Tonight, low in the 61 degree range. Labor Day, mostly sunny with a high near 88, north wind around 5 mph.

A reminder from the folks at the Bladen County Solid Waste Department … All convenience sites will be operating on their normal schedule Monday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, the Transfer Station will be closed in observance of the holiday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, September 8…
